Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen X COURTS presents: 'The Laurence Collection' Media Preview & LLB Blogger Treasure Hunt!

COURTS Singapore partners world renowned
British interior designer
Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen
to design and launch an exclusive new furniture range;
The Laurence Collection.
The collection is available in stores now.

Two weeks ago, I had the privilege to attend the media launch at COURTS Megastore where we got to meet and greet the designer himself!
At the event, he shared his inspirations behind the designs for this collaboration with COURTS and we even got to play a game of 'LLB Blogger Hunt' where we searched the store for hidden items from his collection.
More on that later!

First, a little more about the designer:
Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen is a television personality appearing in numerous shows like BBC's Changing Rooms in 1995 and since then he has been the 'go-to' presenter for home-style TV concepts in the UK.
He has also starred in the hit reality TV series;
The Apartment as Head judge and Style Arbiter.
He is currently working on a program with BBC called
Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen Cracks China.

With more than 20 years of design experience under his belt and his flair for the dramatic and passion for lush ornate detailing, one can expect this collection to be bold and fashionable; a definite conversation starter.

Laurence's beliefs are 'design is not a matter of class or money but a matter of taste' and 'everyone should be able to own good design' that's why he has teamed up with COURTS to present this collection.

This furniture collection comprises of 14 sofas in a variety of configurations, 2 arm chairs and it also features a special limited edition commemorative piece to celebrate Singapore's 50th birthday; The SG50 Cocktail.
This piece holds a special place in the designer's heart as he is also turning 50 this year.

In addition to these lush furniture, COURTS is also the exclusive retailer to a range of accessories from 'The House of Laurence' which includes items like picture frames, lush scented candles and plush cushion covers which add a touch of effortless luxury to any living room.

Laurence is actually very humorous!

Before we started the hunt, Christy & Laurence gave us a short brief on what items to look out for.
There are 15 items to be found in total and the top 3 participants who finds the most number of items within the stipulated time frame will stand to win special items from Laurence's collection!

Ready, set...GO!

Some of the items June & I found:

Sadly, I only found 6-7 items out of the 15 so I didn't win
BUT, it was really fun and interactive!

Here are the winners:
1st Place: Kaviel Teo
2nd Place: Shaun Owyeong
Haha! He was posing for a pic when Laurence sneaked up behind him and photobombed his pic!

3rd Place: Adele, Xian Wen

With Zi Peng coming in 4th and winning the home fragrance

Time for some pictures with the designer!

June & I

Got to meet Christy again after such a long time and Adele in real life and thanks June for the invitation to participate in this super fun event and of course stoked to meet Laurence Llwelyn-Bowen in person :)
We girls must've been laughing at something he said or trying out at the
'British accent' :D

Laurence autographs the wall!

Here are my two favourite pieces out of the entire sofa series:
Mansion House
The Glamour
Our cute event organiser, Christy!

Despite not winning,
we all got to take home some special goodies with us!
These included a notebook which has the same fabric cover as 'The Glamour' where
we got Laurence's autograph
and a set of 'Midnight Ballroom' scented candle gift set.

Thank you COURTS Singapore & AKA Asia for having us and allowing us to meet
Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen! :)

[OUTFIT] Florals & Pastels X Joe & Dough

Mondays are my favourite days cos they're my day off! :)
I work on weekends and can't spend time with my loved ones then, so its during the weekdays that I get to spend time with them.
Like today, I accompanied my mom while she ran errands for my dad's company and we'll usually chat and bond over these late lunches/ cafe dates.

OOTD

I'm trying to grow out my fringe cos I've had bangs for the longest time and I felt like I needed a change though I really loved having bangs.
You know that growing stage can be rather annoying cos your bangs are neither here nor there. Too short to be side swept, too long to be worn as it is cos it pokes your eyes?
Yea, tell me about it!
So, I've decided to try out this braided fringe hairstyle to keep my bangs out of my eyes and I curled my hair for a more feminine look to match my outfit :)
Mom's OOTD
Very stylish for her age! ;)
My mom favourite footwear are loafers.
She has so many different pairs, in different styles cos she says they are comfy and stylish.

#wefie

Initially, I wanted to bring my mom to Patisserie G at Millenia Walk to try their Lemon Tart but it was pretty crowded when we walked past the cafe and decided to give it a miss and try out Joe & Dough instead.
It was a good call cos the cafe was not crowded and had a very comfortable feel to it and the best part? It's not crowded so you can basically enjoy an afternoon with a good book and a nice cuppa without anyone disturbing you.

The cafe had lemon tart so we ordered that, shared a sandwich while I had my coffee fix and she had an iced hazelnut latte.
I'll have to admit, pretty latte art makes me happy :)
